15 Years of Gungho

How it Started

It’s hard to believe that the Gungho we now know, sprang from a kitchen table in Dorset way back in 2007. The name Gungho was chosen at the time to reflect the no-holds-barred, enthusiastic philosophy to business discovery that the company would go on to embody.

All those years ago, a gap in the market was identified and a realisation that there was burgeoning demand for lead generation amongst the very earliest entrants of the global RegTech industry. Within a matter of a few short months, the kitchen table wasn’t big enough, the business was hiring its first team members, securing commercial office space and signing exciting contracts with the CROs at World-Check, FinScan and Dow Jones.

Gungho were clear on their mission from the start and were keen to raise the bar for outsourced telemarketing. The size and success of the business may have grown but we have not deviated from our core values of honesty, integrity and trust.

How Far We’ve Come

Fast forward fifteen years and RegTech continues to explode, remaining an exciting ecosystem for our thriving lead generation services. There have been many highs over the years, not least adding to our prospecting service by expanding into Email Marketing and being able to reach even more RegTech personas by opening our first international office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

What was one person at a kitchen table is now 110+ team across the world. That team have developed the world’s largest risk and compliance database with over 330,000 qualified contacts.

We’ve built an innovative business which not only works successfully for global clients but values our staff and actively demonstrates that. Pioneering the 4-day working week, developing a second-to-none in-house training programme and providing career progression has been the key to attracting and retaining our team.

Our philosophy is all about effective listening, in-depth research and relevant, meaningful discussions. We believe in adopting an intelligent account-based marketing strategy for business growth, using telephone and email engagement to root out high-value opportunities for our clients.

The Future of Gungho

It’s true to say we’re just getting started! The future of Gungho is particularly exciting given the recent investment by Mobeus and the introduction of Jonathan Harman as Gungho’s new chair.
